Looks mint mate, very smart example, heres a link for the front mudflaps, just bought a set myself the other day off the same person so they deffinatly fit, quite hard to get hold for the gti usually:
I considered the red stripe but then came down to that exact decision, and i can't decide whether or not i like front mud flaps on the gti but cheers for the link.
One question i do have though is, does anyone no what the part number is for the revised centre caps on the wheels. I've read somewhere that someone found some that fit of another VW and they don't go all white and bubble up because they are moulded instead of just a sticker???
Looks pretty tidy mate, what sort of mileage has it got on it?.Good to see someone else keeping things pretty OEM,probably in my build thread you read about the centre caps.Mine are genuine VW ones that come on the newer range of VW's with 56mm centre caps.Theya are moulded and coloured which will definately outlast the origional ones, they make the origional look pretty cheap and nasty in comparison.Part number for them is 6Q0 071 213.Hope that helps you out.
Cheers Bradley, car has done 50800 still on the original box, im loving it to be honest think its a fantastic car! Yes it was your threadi remember now, caps have been ordered and are being collected 2mora.
Martin...as for front mudflaps im not sure if they will look right you got any pictures of them on your car or anyone else for that matter?
Heres a pic of the front mudflaps mate, think ive already sent you a link to them, not sure why my car only had the rears but looks much smarter with both I think:
So this weekend i fitted new rear disks/pads and a new fuel filter. Old disks were shot and the old pads had worn unevenly. So brakes now feel much more positive, and it now feels like the rear brakes are doing something when you press the pedal. As for the fuel filter, i can't believe how much of a difference that has made, the car is so much more lively now!
Cheers Tim appreciate your comment, I think it looks so clean in its original state, however i like what you done with yours and think the smootheed bumpers give it a more modern look!

Reminds me, I really should get another GTi badge for the front of mine.
Nice example you have there mate. I've gone through 3 sets and just fitted yellow bulbs instead. The white look did look a lot better but wasn't worth it in the end. Check out my Mk5 thread and you'll see some pics of the fogs in action.
