Who's knows what this is?

My whole dash is off and the following item was later found on the floor of the car (drivers side).

Does ANYONE know what it is or where it came off from??

For anyone that wants to know, this is the flexible part that connects to the heater direction control to the heater unit behind the dash

With the whole dash off it's easy to do one side, but finding the other side where it goes was quite hard.

the part goes from the heater control to one of the flaps on your heater box to direct the air or adjust hot to cold.thats all i can really say, hope its of some help!
