There's a few bolts on top of the rocker, unscrew one, pop the bracket underneath and screw it back down!

Good man, always feels good with a fresh service.

What Oil did you use then Tim? 10W40 or 5W40?

Sorry to but in, but I bought my service items from VW the other week and they gave me 5w40.. Strange because they normally give me 10w40 - But the girl there said that's what they were supplying now. And surprisingly I think it's made my polo run a wee bt better.

That's interesting Emma, I know the car will happily run on both but usually people tend to go for the 10W40 as standard.

I had my car serviced at Volkswagen in 2008 so I might check the invoice to see what grade they used.

What brand of 5W40 did VW supply you with?

The Quantum syntha silver stuff that they normal use. They've changed the name of it, and I can't remember it for the life of me. Alex knows what it's called though.

I used 10w/40, brand by a local parts supplier.

5w/40 does sound interesting.

I was going to use 5w/30 when the winter hits, but may look at 5w/40 instead.

Haven't noticed a difference really mate. On the way home I actually thought they felt worse. But they've settled down now, and are pretty much feeling the same.

I dont get the brakes on this car, no matter what you do they dont seem to change!

Are you running 256mm discs Tim or did you fit the 280mm G60 upgrade?

I changed my standard discs & pads to EBC drilled & grooved discs with Green Stuff Pads but didnt notice any difference at all to be fair

I'm, running exactly the same as you dude!

Never upgraded to 280mm as I felt it was more of a show mod, and you can't see them under any of my wheels.
