Service reminder reset

How do you reset the service reminder on the dash?

sorry to hi-jack this thread but I tried this and I still get the message. does this mean I need a new cluster?

I doubt it mate,i would try it again a couple of times make sure you're doing it correctly.If not get it reset via vag-com by a friend or VW dealership (bear in mind they make ask for a small charge for this).
