Recon'd Gearbox - Visual Clues

Are there any visual clues (exterior) that will reveal if a gearbox has been recon'd or not ?

well........I got mine reconed and they painted it black. Don't know why? Looks faster I bet. I asked the to put rome racing stripes on it but they did not find me funny.

What's the problem with your box bradley?

Nothing too bad but the gears are a bit sticky.

I think the selector might be going.

There is a dud selling one on here so I might get that one for when this one goes (I know it will)

Regular problem on the boxes is the gear selector oiler and mine has gone so makes mine sticky also and it costs like £250 to fix with the part but its just getting it done really....bit off a pain and mine is the colour dark blue, must be whatever colour is kicking around i spose lol!
