HID query

Post by Dub_Dan »

hi guys had my HIDS fitted a few months back but i noticed they look down on the road quite a bit and they said they could not be raised? ive raised them as much as i can from the inside of the car using the little switch.

You don't want them pointing up too much anyway. Blind other drivers

That's one of the problems of using HIDs in reflector lenses...they don't work that great. To pull them off properly, you'll need a pair of angel eyes with a projector lens.

I have just installed Xenon Bulbs from Halfrauds which look great and give out a much better light - but is it worth going for projector lenses? I have not noticed a shortened lit area and whilst lights like the FK Angel Eyes look nice, do you reckon chrome or black for a blue Polo 9n?

Cheers

I had the same problem where i had a HID kit in my polo 9n3 and the light was not as great as my standard bulbs even when raised the the full.

The fix for this is: On the headlight it self is a self adjuster which you have to user an allen key, this fixed my issue :)

Just park the car up against a wall and adjust them both to the same level.

Hope that helps mate.

Yeah but you can't get Daylines for a 9n, can you? If so I'm all ears! Have only seen them for the 9n3.......... :(
