samways-polo wrote: Yeah mate but i have gone off the idea of them coilovers now, dont want to take the risk, as you said one of most important components on the car, got a good mate who knows everything about polos and he said just a decent set of springs will do me fine, im only looking to lower between 35-45 anyway
hope your new coilovers are alright when you get them
Ur beter off getin coilovers m8, the cheap ebay 1ns are not bad, just a little firm, as already mentioned! Also with coilovers, ur able to adjust the height to ur liking.
iirc wen u get some springs u may have to upgrade to some new shocks, so in total u end up spending the same as what it would cost u to get the cheap coilys off ebay!
Just a little advice, but its ur decision! :D

Car's looking good mate! Haven't seen many 9n's in white to be honest, the colour really suits it though.

I've just been reading through your thread, car sounds mint, you decided what to do with your suspension yet?

Re: White 9N progress thread - new gear gaiter,

Post by samways-polo »

Recently fitted a new Gear Gaiter to replace to old one, Black with red leather stitching, lovely grazed fingers getting the old one off. Mods soon to come,:)
... Thinking of ordering a Subwoofer, most likely the Edge ED612 Active - 12'' Active Enclosed Subwoofer, also going to order some footwell lights either white or red, really stuck with what else to do at the moment so much to do ! Update more in near future :)

Hi mate,

THe side and bumper strips just clip off so are easily removed and smoothed out with filler which can then be painted. Easy and cheap mod that looks ace when done properly!

Or get them colour coded? Bump strips remain but it looks 1000x better!

Re: White 9N thread- Sub Fitted :D "now for some alloys"

Post by samways-polo »

Fitted my sub last weeknd, looks tidy tucked away in the corner of the boot, bought the 10" edge active sub which is a good little unit and doesnt take up too much boot space however gives out some good bass :),

Really want to get some alloys now and like the Golf Gti monza 2's think they would look really good on the 9n :)
