Haven't seen a 1.4 tsi gearbox but have seen a Lupo 6 speed which looks similar but to small. As the tsi is a small block i would assume it is the same box as the lupo.yorks GT TDI wrote:great work

The o2s box i used was from an Audi A3 FSI (non turbo) you can also use the Touran and some others.
I have a document with all the codes and ratios if you want just send me your email address.
How much did you pay for you mounts from vibra technics?
If you are gong to do this i will have a chat to you about all the bits i had to over come if you want.

Awesome mate, does it drive much different? Drive shafts just bolt straight up or did you have to swap flanges etc?

Hi Callum thanks for the comment.Callum wrote:Awesome mate, does it drive much different? Drive shafts just bolt straight up or did you have to swap flanges etc?
The box I went for was a petrol model which the 6th gear is very very similar to the GTI gearbox 5th (3000 rpm = 70mph, 4000 = just under 100 mph).
What this means is you get amazing in gear acceleration which i am very happy with.
I haven't tested this against another GTi but will be testing against my mates 200bhp mk4 golf which he only verrrrrrry slightly had an edge over my GTI (std 150 map) so will let you know how that goes.
As for drive shafts they just bolted straight up and gearbox bolts straight up to our engine.

Did you have to change the clutch, or did the old one fit with the 6 speed gearbox?

Same old clutchvlad_pvs wrote:Did you have to change the clutch, or did the old one fit with the 6 speed gearbox?

Thanks for the reply
I was confused because when I bought my clutch it was "only for 5 speed gearbox". So I will be looking for a 6 speed gearbox now

Re: Black Polo GTI 6 Speed. Air intake upgrade with pics pag
The intake looks good, I didnt realise the difference in size was so big. You wouldnt have the part numbers for the 2 parts would you? Is it a VW or Seat part?
Cheers Josh

6LL129621 adapter
6LL129618 hose
These are Seat parts so will need to be ordered from them.
Or you can get it from Jabba Sport delivered to your door.
