Got some coilovers on the way :D

Post by ben3486 »

Got some hottuning coilovers on the way and gonna get some one at work to fit them as it'll be pennies instead of a garage doing it. Only issue is none of them know what coilovers are lol.... so was wondering if some one can tell me how many free threads I should leave from the bottom of the threaded part of the strut? So they can just go ahead and fit them like normal shocks and dont have to worry at first about having them setup...does that make sense?

No "wound all the way down" comments either haha....only on standard wheels so dont wana go all the way down as I dont think it looks good on sandard wheels. thanks in advance nice people.

I have mine at about 1/5th of the way up: this gives a pretty nice stance- about as low as your gonna go without it starting to be impractical....

cool thanks for that....i might start quater of the way up and see how it goes from there....guessing theyre not hard to adjust? wheel off job? also any grease on the threads? or waste of time as the grease will just get dirt, dust and grit stuck to it?
