Good Points
VERY economical and extremely cheap to insure, makes this a great first car for a new driver.
(My insurance when I only held a provisional license was only £20 a month)
Cheap car tax
Good reliable engine and although a 1L it’s actually pretty nippy
Low mileage for its age
Fresh interior (I swapped it out for the grey stained one it had when I first brought it)

Bad Points
Some rust spots but nothing a garage couldn’t sort for cheap
Discoloured square on the boot where it was debagged and then sprayed with the wrong shade of white
I've had this car door quite a few years but brought a Golf 2 years ago. I never sold the Polo as it was so cheap to run and wanted to give it to a relative rather than sell it…2 years later I've never got round to doing that (despite taxing and MOTing it each year) so have decided that its finally time to let it go. It doesn’t make any sense for me to MOT it again for it to sit there doing nothing.
Externally it’s a bit tatty but nothing to bad for its age and nothing that affects its running. This has been the car I've fallen back on a few times over the years when my Golf’s had problems and it’s never let me down.
