rear speakers not working

i got a 2003 3dr polo and was wondering if it has rear speakers, i dont have a haynes manual to find out.
there r some speaker grids beside the rear seats but just thought tht it was for the A/C or summit seeing tht it doesnt work. i need some more bass from the stereo

nah mate i got a sony explod 50x4, i got a sub and amp out my mg zr but it takes up the boot, so does it have rear speakers ??

Rear Speakers weren't standard apart from the GT TDI polo's iirc. They were optionals as most of the things are in VWs Best thing is to take the door cards off and check it, will only take 5-10 mins

Rear speakers were standard in my "Sport" trim TDI. How many cables did you have in the brown conector block for the stereo? 8 = rear speakers, 4 = fronts only. Rears are pointless in a hatchback imo anyway, mine are completely faded out.
