part identification needed

Post by coupechamp »

Hi all,

need help with trying to find either a part number or the car it comes on as regard to the lower spoiler on my rear bumper. Had it knocked off at Rockingham (you can see it trailing in 2nd pic) and it's not that easy just going to the stealers as they want chassis numbers and number plate details ...for which this race car doesnt have. I have looked at some pics on here but a lot of the ones on here seem to be different, (dont stick out so much) compared to the one in the picture. I have a part number from ETKA: 6Q5807521 but it just shows a picture without much detail, maybe if you have it on your car you might be able to use your chassis number to gain the part number.

anyway, any info would go down well,

cheers all

update, and how do you justify this price....
as post above explains, i was looking for the said trim, having been to the stealers and ordered what should have been the part (£20) it arrived only to be wrong, it was the whole bottom bit to the bumper in black. So another trip there and we finally found the right part, but.....are you sitting down........£174+ vat, so basically £200. yet theres no real difference in size and i'm sure how it's made, so it looks like i will be painting up the bottom of the origional bumper to look the part......

2 Ltr N/A 20v. Basically 1.8T block bored to 2ltrs different crank, standard 20v Golf head, 210Bhp @6233 and 242Nm's @5809. Currently working on the 6 speed golf box as it just needs a bit more go out of the slower (3rd gear) corners. Poor little thing puts up a good fight against it's bigger sisters (MK5 GTi's) 230+ hp  slight tech issues at last race at Rockingham but went from 23rd on grid up to 9th and still progressing forward before it lost an alternator belt, which lead to the race battery loosing uummpphh which resulted in engine power loss, oh the simple things in life... :?
