Also love your HID's :)
Thanks emma no i got the sunglasses thing off ebay. Yea the HID's are my favorite mod so far, its really fun to come up behind ppl n the dark. They see the lights and think its cops so they slow down. By the time they realise its a polo you have already overtaken them!

Not really relevant to the car but I thought some of you would enjoy it. I just finished putting together my tdi polo iphone theme. Used bits and pieces of existing themes to create one for myself, the TDI slider the polo text and the photo of my car.

6n2 TDI, First mod in ages

Post by d_austin974 »

So my student loan came in the other day and I had it spent in about 4 hours. Paid the insurance and tax for the year and spent the rest on parts. I bought TT pedals, new passenger wing mirror as mines has been broken for ages, LED hellas (care of vw55raz!), FK angel eyes, LED replacements for the halo's. LED side repeaters. So it will be a busy couple of weeks for me and the car. So far only my hellas have arrived and I LOVE them. Please excuse the dirt of the car, I haven't had time to clean it in weeks. I've a week off next week so i'll give it a good detail then.

The Gti interior would really finish of the car. I have a full set for sale cheap.

I like the look. Front looks really tidy. Rear needs the spoiler. Love the wind deflectors.

thanks Bradley, spoiler is on my list of things to do, as well as lowering and window tints. Do you mean the GTI No. 1 interior? Im actually not a big fan. If i wer changing the interior i'd go leather all the way. I don't want to go too much down the GTI road because at the end of the day it isn't a GTI. Waiting on a few more parts to arrive, these bank holidays are crippling my deliveries. Waiting on my TT pedals, angel eyes and LED repeaters. Im sure they'll arrive shortly and get a few photos up.

There is a set of leather on club polo for £400.

The spoiler and splitter really make a big difference. Looks clean. Does it have rear discs?

Not too keen on the rims ;-)

Angel eyes on fire!!!!!

Post by d_austin974 »

so I fitted my fk angel eyes yesterday, almost. had one side in and about to fie the other when I started smelling smoke. One of the bulb holders in the angel eye ring had started an electrical fire! no damage to me or the car but the lights are clearly faulty so I won't be installing them. I have contacted venom about replacing them. waiting for a reply.

Good thing you spotted it before it spread mate!!

Have you had the car tuned yet? If not, then feel free to get in touch - I could work out a good rate for club members.

tell me about it f6had! really lucky. could have burnt the whole car. I would have cried like a baby!! Still waiting on a reply from venom about replacing them, I really hope they don't mess me about with them. I do want it mapped, but you might have a hard time getting to me (I'm in Belfast). Few things to prioritise first though, need a bearing done and the timing belt and water pump are due a change. also my gearbox started making a bit of a funny noise today. Hope it's not on its way out cant afford to do that as well! looks set to be an expensive few weeks.

So venom got back to me today about the lights. They were really friendly, and couldn't do enough to help. They are sending me out another set of lights as soon as they are back in stock. The guy said said it would be around a week for them to get them in stock then another few days for me to receive them. I thought they would have given me a bit of a hard time with them, tried to pass the buck onto fk or something but no hastle at all. I will def be ordering from them again in future.
