wheel arch plastic

Post by chipmunk »

The plastic that covers the inside of the wheel arch on the n/s front is missing and I wondered if it was the same part for a 6N incase my local scrappies dont have any 6N2's? Seems like someone replaced the side repeater at some point and forgot about putting it back on, which results in the repeater getting flooded and i dread to think what crap is getting thrown up into the arch.
Are they still available off the shelf, if so does anyone have a part number? Im not bothered about buying a pair, in fact my other one could do with being replaced at some point anyway!
Oh and to save another thread, can someone recommend a place to get fitted mats?

Thanks

Here's the part number. Dont know whether or not its the same for the 6n.
Left Side - 6n0809961D
Right Side - 6n0809962D
The price given on my part software is £20.17 but the software is a few years old so the price will have gone up a bit.
Hope this helps.

I've been looking at this site for parts, seems to be quite useful and cheap too http://www.crashrepairparts.com/panels- ... _2000_2002

Does anyone know what difference of with or without a side member extension would be? mine is a 1.4 16v "s" if that changes anything.

6N0809961D is without and 6N0809961E is with

Im pretty sure side member extensions are to do with the side skirts. The "S" "SE" and GTI im pretty sure came with the large skirts but the "E" models did not so if yours is an "S" i would think you need the side member extensions. you would know if you had the bigger skirts because you wont have the little arrows on the them pointing out the jacking points. dont quote me though
