Hi there.
After replacing once already these bush's and them going again, I want to put some upgrade ones on and see if they are any better!
so my question is what size are they for my car?
52 1.9tdi Sport PD100
After a quick call to awesome they said they only had 19mm ones for my car.. yet I was sure I measured them as 21mm...
can anyone help?
Cheers!
Anti Roll Bar Saddle Bush Help!!!
Re: Anti Roll Bar Saddle Bush Help!!!
WHat bit are u measuring? If it the arb then may be corroded and if it's the bush it may be worn. I advise u to go on eBay and look for an ebeich ( excuse spelling) arb some one is selling a front and rear. On there but they don't make a rear. I bought this found out got In cotact and the bloke knocked the vat of and so this came to a nice price in the end

I think that I've said this already, but here it is again, it is possible that a "19mm" ARB will measure something like 22mm at the point where the mounting bushes are located - in that case it would mean that you still have an old style, with plastic end stops with plastic tails. If the ARB is newer type with steel end stops, then these do not have a tail where the mounting bushes are located and so a "19mm" ARB newer type would measure 19mm at the mounting bush location.

Best thing to do is go to the dealers and give your chassis number they will advise what your car came off the line with

Yes, but the point that I was making was that the OP needed to find out which version, original or updated was currently fitted to the car - and the dealers will not have that imformation I'd reckon.RITCHAT wrote:Best thing to do is go to the dealers and give your chassis number they will advise what your car came off the line with
One of the PR codes will reveal which ARB it came off the production line with.

Very true there. Likely to be standard. Very few change these. I know I was thinking of putting a thicker anti roll bar in but for all the difference it was going to make I decided not to do it.RUM4MO wrote:Yes, but the point that I was making was that the OP needed to find out which version, original or updated was currently fitted to the car - and the dealers will not have that imformation I'd reckon.RITCHAT wrote:Best thing to do is go to the dealers and give your chassis number they will advise what your car came off the line with
