Windscreen Wiper Stalk Burnt Out

Post by neilw »

Hi

My windscreen Wiper Stalk switch has burnt out now. It kept smoking about once every 6 months, this time it smoked and stopped working.

I've got a new one being delivered soon, and a haynes Manual.

Has anybody taken the streering wheel off before? Just wondering if anybody had any hints for this job.

Cheers

To get the airbag out successfully it's easier to remove the under tray where the steering wheel is, and when you are releasing hhe airbag don't push the screwdriver in too far. You need to push the handle up into the steering wheel so the other end is going downwards. When you try it you'll see what I mean, but its easy to remove...if you try too hard, it becomes a real pain in the ass
