Gutted mate, I hope you get it sorted soon.
Least its going to be covered by the Insurance and fortunately the damage doesnt look too bad.

Are you going for Smoothed Bumpers when its being fixed 8)

Ah man that sucks. I'd definitely take this opportunity to get some other work done though 8)

I ran 165/50s on my 6j (Pepperpots) they were great, not stretched but gave a real nice look:

You could rag them all day without any fear.

Other option is 165/45s, again won't add much stretch but if your spacing them out a fair bit you may want the extra clearance.

Cheers guys.......Proper gutted but yeah like i said i might get them to do my rear bumper and door wilst its in but then again i am a spray painter and car body repair but im just lazy lol.........

Il see but no smoothing for me i hate smoothed front end's on the gti's, takes away the oem look i reckon............

But what other rear bumpers can go on as i want to loose the towing cut out?????????/

Yeah i think the 165/50/15's work well for winters as stretched winters will be a bad move lol!!!!!!

Will i have to stretch them out with wood or so they go strait on mate??????????/

INSURANCE FTMFW.............Whole front end respray and blending fru the front wings.............

Well as title sais i have purchased this little lovely and on it went just a few seconds ago..............

Was abit back breaking with all the leaning into the engine bay, You have to remove and reposition the first horn but comes with instructions that are simple enough.

Pics as i went on........

So thats how it looks in the bay and i reckon it looks ok and will only get cold air.......... and im having a water methanol kit fitted soon aswell to give it even more

Not loud at all but you can hear it roar up the rev range and with this kit u can have it as a short ram intake higher up, The video on youtube is with it at a short ram so not getting cold air and thats why its so loud..........

Oh and heres a little pic of what i do for a living, i paint small things like this.............. Rolls royce S3 chassis lol!

Looks Great Mate, very tidy under the bonnet. What's the clearance like with the bonnet?

I have been after one of these too, have you tried it with the filter bag off?
I know its there to protect the filter but Its probably restricting the noise a little.

How much did it cost you mate? they all seem to be £200+ on the Internet.

Yeah it does look weird but it has been designed for a purpose and it really works well, Might have to colour code some other parts silver aswell now like me strut brace and belt cover,

But iv got my parcel shelf back and side cover, just waiting on my door cards now as there being custom refitted etc.

On some other news my car is being fixed and the list is as follows.

1) Front bumper new VW
2) Washer jet cover
3) Washer jet new
4) Front gti grill and badge
5) New headlight as some clips broke
6) Indicators both sides
7) Whole front end respray as there are stone chips caused by the lorry content falling on me bonnett and etc

Whole new front end really apart from one headlight so i might by another one to make it all fresh.

Oh and i purchased these a second ago and collected them from south mims, New summer wheels..............

Shinuki jap styley 7j 15 et 40?????????????????
