hi ppl,
im 18 and im struggling to find decent insurance qutoes.
Who are you guys with?
ive been quoted Â£2000 from norwich union and Â£4000 for liverpool victoria
and Â£2000 on directline too.

I know that some of my friends find Tesco the cheapest

Hi Aaron,

What sort of 9N are you insuring?

I'm with Eagle Star Direct, who I believe recently got 'taken over' by Zurich. I'm 30 and my insurance is cheap as chips but i've been with them for ages and they've always been the cheapest for me. You can get a quote on-line.

Hows about the AA or Elephant.co.uk for alternatives?

Any discounts you could get? For example; I get a 15% discount as a member of the NHS.

im trying to insure my brandnew Polo twist 1.2 5dr...

soooo expensive. tesco dont have the twist as an option so i cant get a quote from them....ill give Zurich a shot then

Out of interest, I just got an on-line quote at Elephant for myself, pretending I was 18 - only 1 years no claims etc.

Â£1102.57 !

Might be worth a try.

try egg.com insurance, a mate of mine is 18 and had a quote of Â£900 for a 1.2 SE.

I'm with CIS at the moment under my dad's name any driver policy with 3 yrs NCB and that's Â£700

Im 21 (22 in Oct) and will get my own in Aug. With Elephant with no no claims at the mo it will cost me Â£980. With my Advanced Motoring (http://www.iam.org.uk) it will come down to Â£830 and if I put my g/f on as a 2nd driver who I don't live with and just put down as my partner who is 20 will bring it down to Â£720!

So
a) do advanced driving
b) add a second driver (even if its you neighbour or whatever)

(with 10 month bonus accelerator)
