I had the boot card off yesterday as my central locking pump makes a noise, just had the car back after my alternator belt sheared and took out my cambelt and compression so only just had chance to look at it....anyway the white box motor with part number 6N0862159C has a rod extending from it going to the lock which has a sucker type rubber gromit shaped like a funnel stuck to it, this has split in 2 and now doesnt move the rod which is probably why the motor goes off on regular occasions trying to lock the boot.
Can i just buy a new rubber part or do i have to buy the motor and does that come with the rod and gromit?
Thanks
Boot central locking
Re: Boot central locking
It looks as though (1) is the whole unit, but I just wondered whether these gromits can be bought seperately as theres nothing wrong with the motor

Re: Boot central locking
It'd be a whole new number 1 as hey are not a serviceable part. Try a scrapyard as mk4s use a very similar mechanism
