Good luck with the sale if you do decide to sell it Alex, should be worth 4K + really.

The main reason people sell their GTI's is simple......Power!!!! Everybody wants something quicker, me included :)

There does seem to be loads for sale at the moment, most of which are not selling.

Lol theres nothing wrong with my paintwork. A few areas of minor stonechips, but apart from that its pukka :P

I don't think im going to sell it - its too special :P

Meh Z3s are good little cars. My mate has had 2 now and he loves them, and im quite impressed with how they handle. People have said s2000, Audi TT etc but my budget just doesnt stretch to that kinda money!

Yeah the Honda S2000 is a great car, what an amazing Engine note the V-TEC produces too :)
TT's are very nice too, always liked them myself.

If you do get a Jap Car though expect to be called a Ricer :)

Z3 all the way Alex...

The only other car in that category is the S2000... Which I actually prefer.. But I am German all the way when it comes to cars...

Re: The GTI! - Alex's Progress Thread - Clutch Issues :(

Post by alexperkins »

Well the Z3 is on hold at the moment as there is too much water to go under the bridge at this point in time

But anyways....

My little clutch problem is getting worse (and the clutch has only done 15k miles!). The release bearing is getting stuck on the shaft, and then shunts causing the pedal to be somewhat juddery and makes it rather difficult to pull forward in slow moving traffic.

Sooo.....im going to have to drop the gearbox off the car and replace the clutch release bearing in coming weeks. As most of you know, the part is only about £20 quid, but the time needed to sort this out is a good half a day or more due to the complexity of removing the gearbox and all the other bits that need to come off
