Which remap?? Someone please make my mind up

Post by NMavs »

Hi Guys. As title suggests....Which remap do i go for?? For weeks ive been reading up reviews on both Custom code and APR, but i really cant make my mind up. Both are close, both are from a well known company. Awsome GTI for APR and Panelcare for CC. I really cant make my mind up lol.

Is there really any difference between the 2?? Cheers for any advice / comments. Nathan

Im going for the Revo when I get mine done

=========================

The map is £299 - the Select box is £150

Does this mean the totals are:

Revo Map Only = £299
Revo Map + Switchable box = £449

Or am I getting confused?

@zedzo - Yeah i had that black 1.9 TDI PD100 same as you, had that mapped by bodge with Dimsport. Gotta Red GTI now. Fancy summat abit different now like :D

Never really looked into revo as i heard from someone that they where known to spike the maps, so you get loads of boost low down, and run outa puff higher up the rev range? Am guessin this is a load of balls, judging by your guys comments lol. :D

There is a fair ammount of boost low down, but surely thats where you want it? hurl you off in any gear?

No lag at all, holds boost throughout rev range especially when paired with other mods.

I love it, Im sure they all have therer pros and cons but I wouldnt change mine.

Yeah its a little harsh but thats what I want!

and for your information I lost 2mpg on average, but i think its just because you put your foot down a little more.

Yeah, definatly want lots of boost low down. Just dont wanna be killin me clutch within the first week haha. Was hoping of maybe gaining a few MPG though, with normal day to day drivin. As it is standard mines doin around 22 - 25 MPG, which is crap compared to my last 50 MPG diesel haha. Think am gunna have to find a local Revo dealer now. :D

22 mpg day to day driving!?!?!

how do you drive day to day? lol, i get around 30-32 daily driving.

You can kill the clutch on any car in a week if you drive it like that, if you take good care of it and use the engine how its meant to be used then you shouldnt have any problems

Revo direct are so helpful. good luck and let us know what you decide!
