Yeh it'd be interesting to see it mate.

They both give completely different power delivery.

2nd paragraph of this is very interesting too.

basically saying although they have different functionality the fundemental program's are the same

So for an end customer its a different product/power delivery etc.

But from a programers point of view they are the same.

in the pdf documents posted before - I think (hope I'm not mistaking) he is talking about the software used to flash the ecu. So basically he is comparing the tools used to install the maps and not the maps of each company. So even if what is stated there is true (at that time anyway), doesn't mean the ecu maps (which is the product that the customer is buying) are the same but only that the maps were installed with the same software.

It's also interesting that Awesome GTI have stopped trading with APR...They're now REVO dealers.

Not saying the APR software is crap, it's just interesting!

To the OP, I'd look at what tuners local to you offer first. Find somewhere close so it's easy to get any issues solved should they happen. You say Awesome GTI are close to you, I'd 100% go to them and get REVO Stage 1.

What RR do R Tech use buddy?

I've never used Awesome's but I have read a few posts on forums about theirs over-reading slightly.

Hmmm...That really is quite interesting. R-Tech seem quite a fair way away from me, however reading the comments on the website, they gotta good write up. But still, the closest to me is the custom code. How do people rate this map?? Awsome put that trial remap on mine about 2 month ago, and i loved it. It was very gradual boost though, didnt feel to have that much low down.

Just noticed that there claiming 210bhp?? that cant be true can it from a stage 1?? you lads with the stage 2 maps, milteks and FMIC are gettin just over that.

rolling road accurate? its almost impossible to get a 100% accurate readout on a dyno, you can get a good idea but every rolling road will read out different. and the variables are huge.

maybe awesomes is slightly over, maybe apr's is slightly under, its imbossible to tell. if your car read 185 on the rollers and they did it again a week later you would probably get a different read out.

rolling road figures should not be taken as gospel.

to be honest i dont think any of that legal stuff should be taken into consideration when choosing a map, its nothing to do with the polo specifically so doesnt matter, but its an interesting read.

Revo have great customer service, they are great guys, I used the phirm who are a reputable VW tuning company and so are awesome so revo must be doing something right.
