No reversing lights Any Further Ideas

Hi Guys

Newbie so be gentle
2002 1.2 12v

No reversing lights
I have swapped the switch with one known to be good but no change.

Does any one have any ideas of where to start in trying to sort this

Have you checked the bulb? Also make sure to check the fuse. The fuse box is located on the offside beside the dash.

its usually the switch mines gone plenty of times, try another. there maybe fuses to check them. and finally your bulbs

check for corrosion in the plug that connects to the switch and also the rear boot connections that are on the left handside of the boot on the wheel arch as vw in their wisdom have the rear wash wipe pipe connection right on top of the wires /connection block.

My 1.4 sport has the same problem, nightmare in a car park, people won;t stop to let you out before they can't see a reverse light.
Where's the sender located?

When they went on my old polo it was becasue the clip that connects to the bottom of the gear stick came off.
