Headlight help

Post by Dom_ »

Is it possible to buy the part that the automatic adjuster ball sits in for a GTI headlight? Really don't want to fork out for a new headlight!

It's only held in by a screw so I don't see why not..

Nooooooo, you can't...

But they are the same clips as in all mk5 headlights, so buy some used standard headlights and take one from there...

No and yes any headlight will do

The replacement ones use a different type of plastic to stop this happening

Great stuff, need to find myself a headlight now...I'll see how much a new one (non gti) is through work, if it's not that expensive I'll just get it

Also need to reset the headlight levels with VAGCOM as I didn't do it when I lowered it :)

So you got a spare headlight and swapped the adjuster clip out of it?
