new Funky Xenon lights. . .
Ok ive had mine for a while now, BUT havent actually put them on my car yet, mostly out of laziness really hah.
Has anyone at any point made a 'how to change your front lights' article ?
I really want to change them over in the next few weeks, but havent the foggiest about what it actually involves.
Any help ? the only person's car ive seen with them is Josh !!

Theres a guide by polo2k on how to fit aftermarket HID lights:

Just one question though; you've got a nice shiny GTi right? So surely you've already got the aforementioned HID headlights that, as far as I know, all GTis were fitted with?

OK, are you on about just changing the sidelights and full beam to Philips Blue Vision bulbs?
All GTi's have Xenons as standard (they look like a projector lens), then with 2 normal bulbs next to them... It's these 2 bulbs that I changed.
Is this what you're on about?
Please take a photo of your headlight unit (when the lights are OFF) and post it up here.

Sorry for not really knowing what im talking about ! You Guru's most get sick of us newbs !
Ok i imported the car from Denmark, and to my knowledge it has the standard lights that come with a Polo GTI. they are quite bright so maybe as Josh said they are the Xenon lights.
When i recieved the car i looked in the boot, and it had some different front lights for it. they are the same as the ones on the Silver GTI (look at pic below) BUT they have a black outer lining on the 'spotlight' (same colour as my black car).

What the hell are these lights??????? I always thought these were the Xenon's but obviously im mistaken.
Anyone know?
