central locking help

Aquired a new pump today out of a 3 door gti and it did work but now I put it in my car it makes the noise but is not locking or unlocking the car.

When I press the unlock on my key it makes that loud noise.

I can't seem to find a problim with leaking air.

Someone please help.

Hi m8 when u bought the pump i could feel the air leaking around the connector, did u replace it with the one that i put in the boot??

yeah. sorted that. seems it might be somwhere else.

I will sort it tomorrow morning with a cup of tea in a warm garage.

Sounds like a Door lock air leak to me.. had a similar problem. whip both door cards off exposing the lock mechanism. Try unlocking and locking whilst pushing the air connector on the mechanism- see if that works. you may be able to hear the air leaking somewhere even. Joe

Im gonna take the doors off and bloody leave them off!

Just put the heating on now!
