cold morning squeeking noise.

hello everyone!

its getting more and more chilly in the mornings in beijing right now, and this problem feels like its getting worse and worse.
when i start driving in the morning, there seems to be a squeeking noise when the car moves. cornering, acceleration and braking. sounds like its coming from in front of me. its no engine noise but more of a mechanical thing.

i dont feel this is normal is it? love to hear what it could be, if there is actually a fault.

cheers chris, thats exactly what happened. went to local dealers and they said cracked bushes, is it a safe to drive on it for now? they quoted me 1500RMB for parts and labour, about 150GBP. gonna find another option.

Depends how bad they are, best to get them done as it can cause uneven wear to your tyres, get them done but use aftermarket polybushes, usually the same price as vw ones and will increase cornering ability and feel more 'planted'

Mine does this too, what are the bushes in question called so I can ring up Awesome tomorrow and get a price? Just "front bushes"?

finally the sqweeking has stopped!! the bushes were a complete mess, split in half when it was removed!
the fronts were both replaced by passat bushes.. seem alot thicker than standard.
thing is i can hear something rattling in the boot.. another sound to live with!

its either the boot floor rattling around or the tyre inflation in the spare rolling around? other mechanical options are rerar bushes or top mounts
