FIS cluster retrofit?
Has anyone managed to retrofit the full FIS cluster into their cars? How easy/expensive is it to do?

Seems like mine may have been one of the few with that box ticked thenblazeguarder wrote:Has anyone managed to retrofit the full FIS cluster into their cars? How easy/expensive is it to do?

Re: FIS cluster retrofit?
@lm_gauci - To say I'm jealous is an understatement.
@Jeff GTi - yep, I'll update this thread if I manage to get this to work. Might take a while though as the instrument clusters are apparently quite expensive, so I probably won't get round to actually attempting it for a while...
Is there anyone on this forum with any experience of doing this?

Mine has these with sat nav
never realised they were different to other ones.
Re: FIS cluster retrofit?
Pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference? Is it just cosmetic?

Re: FIS cluster retrofit?
There is a pretty noticable cosmetic improvement, but the full FIS also allows you to see more information than the standard trip computer allows. It displays the standard fuel economy and miles till empty etc, but also displays the radio station and has pictograms for low fuel/low oil warnings/doors open etc. There are a few other functions as well I believe.Jibbon wrote:Pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference? In short, it looks cooler and displays more information in an easier to read layout. Seems a bit more useful than the standard computer in the clock screen.
