2011 Polo GTi plans...

Post by emma_88 »

Going off bradley1983's post in his 'Work to do over Christmas' topic.. I thought I'd start a topic to discuss everyone's plans for the new year..

My plans are...

Get the bodywork tidyed up
Get it through another MOT
Get the Alulines back on in the Summer
And just generally enjoy it until I come to sell later on next year.

I know this is the wrong section as I don't own a gti but my plans for 2011 are:

Get A few bits resprayed including front bumper, roof rails etc
Get the parking dent in the rear quarter removed thus meaning the car will be scratch and dent free :)
Put the schmidts back on, although may get them mirror polished still umming and ahhring over that
Get the stance perfect
Detail the car to a high standard correcting paintwork glass and headlights etc
A few more smaller touches
And finally attend a few more shows as I only managed to get to players last year

So not a long list for 2011 but I did alot last year so 2011 will be about refining it all to a high standard :)

Plans for 2011 are pretty low key but something like this would be good:

Tidy up bodywork (stone chips on leading edge of roof etc)
Get headlights detailed - to remove the UV fade
6000K headlight bulbs would be nice
Fit a set of BBS RX2s

I really just want to focus on the little things and bring the car back to its former glory ha ha... not that its in a bad way! But it could be better...

In the meantime I just need to get through Winter with as little fuss and expense as possible :)

Plan to get a few things fixed on the car that were noted in its last service.

Also:

Respray the callipers
Mk 6 Golf Headlight switch
Sort out dirty headlights
Polo 9n3 Rear wiper
More claying/glazing/waxing
Then sell it sometime in the summer :(

Will do mate, I dont think it will offer any major improvement to performance but they look awesome under the bonnet.
Yeah I will keep you posted on the Cams & Re-map, i'll be looking to get that done in around April/May next year.

I'm sure JBS would offer us some kind of discount 8)
