I hope it's ok.

A guy years ago kicked my motor bike over I a drunk rage so I washed his RS1600 turbo in nitro mors at 2 in the morning. I believe in an eye of eye! Should of seen his paint work the next day with c#nt on the bonnet.

Ha ha ha. Bit harsh but funny.

Its not to bad just really annoying. Thought the car was coping quite well through the winter months but its not the weather but someone else who messes it up! Will have a go at polishing it out tomorrow. I first heard this bang like a windscreen being smashed and my stomach tied itself in a knot with that horrible gut wrenching feeling. I currently have the door cards off as i am in the middle of painting the tweeter housings black. so thought he may have seen this and thought he had a chance of nicking it.

The other bad thing is i only have 3rd party, fire and theft insurance as fully comp is just too expensive. i am paying £1400 at the moment!!!!!! So if someone does damage it badly i will have to fork out for the repair. I put a lot of time and care into my car as all of you guys do as well and it just really pisses me off that these twats couldnt give a s**t :(

Gutted about the drunk twit. Hope all comes out well for u! Thank god it wasn't worse. It annoys me to know end to know people just have no respect for other peoples property.
Wow your insurance amount sucks! May I ask how old u are? I know my boyfriends insurance on the gti was always twice as much as it is for me. Even with him on third party and myself on fully.

Thanks Verity :) I know its a lot. I am 19 with 1 years no claims so thats why it is so much. Most people wont even cover me :( But i think it is worth it for the car  Hopefully it lowers a bit next renewal.

Sorry to hear about the damage mate.
Unfortunately there are a lot of 24 Carat Twats in the world that love to damage other peoples property!
There is just no need at all for mindless vandalism, it makes me sick.

I hope you get things put right soon dude

Thanks for your sympathy guys :) Had a little go at polishing it out today but then it started to rain. This is what the little scrote did:

Doesn't look to bad i know but still very annoying. Will have another go at it when the rain stops.

Also had a go at painting stuff. Done the tweeter housings and had a go at the rear view mirror. i am happy with the tweeters but the mirror is not up to my standard so may look into getting another one. Does anyone know if others will just pop on to ball joint or do you have to replace the whole stalk as well?

Before:

After:

As you can see the coating on the glass has started to lift (right side) so going to get another one at some point. looks a lot better than before though so don't think its a to bad attempt :)

Love the tweeter covers and mirror dude, really sorry to hear about the damage though. Hopefully it'll polish out. Can't keep anything nice in this day and age. Drown them all i say. :P

Looks as if it may polish out Matt, hopefully that will be the case.
Loving the black tweeter covers I think that works really well.

Keep us all updated on the coilover situation 8)

Right as Ben said i have been thinking about coilovers for a while now. Looked into the D2 ones but read a few bad reviews saying that they leak and don't last very long. I like the look of them with there brushed purple finish but don't want to pay £600 + and find they only last a year or so.

So This morning i have ordered some SPAX RSX coilovers :D :D

So exited to get them on the car. Will look so much better and i hope the performance is also a lot better.

PS: Thanks to Ben (6N2 GTI 00) for all his help :)

Right small update:

Been fitting these SPAX coilovers at work today. Went in without too much trouble but quite embarrassingly i had it set too low and the car grounded out when i lowered the ramp  (Was a single poster ramp) It was home time so i have had to leave the car there over night. I need to adjust the camber, etc any way tomorrow but from what i can see they look top quality :) Will need some adjustment to help it off the ramp.

What do you people think is the perfect ride height on the RXII's?

a drop of 35 - 40mm is spot on in my opinion... Alex sent me a picture recently of his 15" colour concept wheels with a drop of 35mm, with his permission, I can post it here for you. (maybe he'll post it though :))

Also, have a look at Bradleys as well, his looks to be down about 35 - 40mm and IMO, looks absolutely spot on on the original wheels.

Thansk dude, That would be great if you or him could. Mine is set up now but the back is a bit low and the front is a bit high so will have to keep fiddling :) Also the ride is a bit harder but handles exceptionally well. Really pleased with them so far. Will put some pictures up soon.

The Ride will be fairly harsh in comparison to the original suspension but the handling benefits are well worth the slight loss in comfort.
Have a fiddle with the damping settings mate, the rears I think have 14 or 15 settings and the front have 30 if memory serves.
Mine are set on the Hardest setting just for the cornering benefits :)

Bradley's on the 16' bbs' though right?

I'd say 35mm isn't enough on 15's. A good 60mm at least on standards. Im down about 80mm and love how it looks/rides.

Just keep fiddling until you get a height your happy with.
