hi all,thought i`d join up as i`ve recently bought a 9n 1.9 tdi sport,i`m happy with but there are just a couple of niggles to sort out ie...`usual` clunking from the front suspension,and an erratic fuel gauge,which until tonight,i was`nt sure if it was just me seeing things,but on my way home earlier,having started off with half a tank,the gauge dropped into the red zone and the fuel light/beep came on and then went back to half a tank,and shortly after the same thing happened again. does anyone know if this is a common fault/has this happened to anyone else? i should add that my total distance travelled was only 7 miles.

Can't help with the fuel gauge as I have an incredibly basic knowledge of how it works, but maybe a faulty sender unit or something? Wouldn't think that it is a problem with the dash itself if it's only an intermittent fault. I'm sure someone with a bit more knowledge will come along and help you out though.
To post pictures, you first have to upload them to a site such as photobucket. Then, you copy the IMG link from photobucket, click on the 'Img' button above the box where you type posts and paste the link in between the sets of brackets.
