Great work mate, progress is coming along nicely. Your a brave man polishing so many parts of the engine bay, polishing that gearbox once it's back in will be a ridiculous job. How come you didn't go with an engine conversion? As you've put all the leg work into stripping it out

it is a conversion in a way coz it used to be a 1.4 8v but now going for the 16v didn't really wanna be spending more money and time doing a different engine coz i'm not really into power anyways just like it to look nice

bogg brothers told me the size of these carbs will give me around 25 - 30 bhp more so looking at around 150bhp with fast rd cams and exhaust :-D

few things i been up to on the head, finished polishing it and cleaned and re polished all the valves only took 3 hours of my life to do lol

just need to grind the valves change the valve seals and then get the head skimmed and pressure tested.

got my rear beam back from powdercoating and started building it back up the other day
put my new stub axles on and camber scimz, 2 at each side should have a nice stance. :)
