Evening All,
After spending a month thinking about selling my car, I've decided to sell it.
I've bought a house, got engaged and getting married in August this year - and need the funds to pay for the wedding.
The car - it's a Red X Plate GTI, completely standard (apart from the stereo and sub, but still have the indash CD and reciever).
It's done 107k miles, with full service history apart from the last which I did myself. I've had the clutch replaced 2 weeks ago (burnt it out in the snow) and I think the gearbox is on it's way out. It's also go a scratch on the drivers side rear panel where some little c*nt has keyed the car.
The box seems to make a sort of grinding noise when in gear. When taken out of gear or when the clutch is pressed down, there's no noise.
Apart from the gearbox, I've had no other problems with it. I was looking at about £1500 for it, is this a reasonable price??
