Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
New 4 point harnesses. Bit pointless, but a bit of fun for now. Good for track days and does not chaff the seats to bits.
Taken out the rear seats as well for the time being. Not using them and they are really damp and some stitching needs attending to.
Sort of wish it was a 3 door now as i don't need the back doors. But i do like the look of the 5 door from the outside. Will see how i like it otherwise it will all go back to normal and the harnesses just used for special occasions

In the summer i am hoping to take the GTI to the nurburgring so they will come in handy then

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
They look awesome Matt! Really liking the OMP Harnesses too
The standard seats offer no grip and are not really designed for a performance car, I always find myself slipping out of the seat when taking corners so the buckets will come in handy, especially for track days.

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
Thanks Ben,
Really pleased with the seats, best thing i have bought for the car i think
So supportive, however it does seem like you are sitting on the floor. The harnesses are nice but i feel like a bit of a t*t with them on lol, as everyone looks at you. Quite happy with the car at the moment. A few more things needed though
Wheel spacers, Exhaust and camber/tracking on the list to do

I got the seats with the runners, and a set of covers for £600 off ebay. However they are in nearly new condition

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
Right, had another play with the ride height this weekend. Im a lot more happy with it now and hopefully i find it is at a practical height also. Few pictures to show you lot
(Sorry for the dirt)

And here is the difference between the 1.0 and mine
Bit of a poor picture. Will get a better one when they are properly side by side but you get the idea.

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
Aha you lucky man! I would really like some buckets in mine now because the leather is either too cold or too hot :/ and i had buckets in my old car which were soooo comfy!
Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
Looking good man. I'd drop it a bit more if i was you mind.

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI
Looks spot on at that height mate, i'm not a fan of slamming either tbh.
