Sister has MkIII 3-door.
Electric windows nothing put a pain in the a%$e!!!
Can they be ripped out and replaced with manual winders? She seems to have spent more money on garages constantly replacing the motors than the car is worth!!!
Cheers for any help,
Neil

Itll be a mk4 and not a mk3, as they didnt have electric windows (apart from some very rare examples)
And yes, they can be ripped out and replaced with manual window guides, lifters and handles.

I had that same problem in my 99 polo.
My problem was with the button.
Try connect the button that works to the window that is faulty.
if everything works ok, the problem is with the button.
Very easy to repair.
open the button, with a small screwdriver.
clear the black stuff of the connectors part inside the button.
The problem is that the black stuff (burned metal) is isolating the power that reaches the window motor.
try it.
ive repair both my windows with 0 cost.
