You can replace it with another drinks holder mate
The Lupo's came with two drinks holders as standard which is more useful than the change holder.

Relatively cheap little upgrade and easy to install

are the cup holders a standard feature on the lupo? if so, is it just a straight plug and play? there was a wee lupo at a breakers near me

there in some but not in all.
my friend has an Lupo E and has no cup holder or coin tray at all.

Im pretty sure tho the coin holder and the cup holder are exactly the same. same size and work in the exact same way.
so you should just be able to get a part number off the one already in your car, then just buy a new one from somewhere like VW.
and do a straight swap no modding or fidderling needed

try contacting emma_88 shes popped two drinks holders in (as well as two coin trays) so should be able to give a deffinant answer for you

Buying one new from VW will be extorionate.. I'd try local scrappys - That's where I got mine from.

The standard Polo coin tray/cup holder is the exact same size as the Lupo cup holders. Either will fit straight into the 'cubby box' bit of the dash - Like I've done with mine.

Good little upgrade, I use mine all the time.

You mean to fit in the cubby under the radio like Emma_88 has done?
And have two of both coin trays and cup holders and the cubby be half the size

Okie dokie, if u mean the Really small section directly above the heater knobs, there's not much that has been done with that as far as I've seen, as it's a difficult area (what with it being straight under the ledge) Hopefully if the link has worked there should be a photo of a chaps lupo. He's put a retractable USB connecter for his iPod in it. Which is pretty neat. and the only thing I've seen done with it.

If u mean the section Hanging above, you should have the cup holder and coin tray, as 6n2 GTI 00 said above you can swap bits over to have two cup holders. Straight swap, the sections come separatly so you would just need to buy another cup holder. As Emma said try a breakers, or VW, eBay, or even keep an eye out for someone a wanting to do a swap.
Or if your the creative type; some people have made the coin tray into a iPod port.

@Verity - on a slight side track, how difficult would it be to wire my sub into a switch on the dash down were there are loads of blanks beside the rear heater switch? is it easy to do? im asking just as yours is looking very fancy so im guessing you know what your at!

Apparently it's a pretty easy thing to do, you basically just need to wire a switch in to break the circuit. the best way is through the power, but u can apparently do it through the earth to :S , but power is a better option.
You just need to buy a rocker switch.
Then take out one of the button blanks and mod it slightly to fit the switch on it.
By memory there's a decent amount of room behind those buttons to have a fiddle around in, unlike behind the radio which tends to be pretty cramped.

Hope that helps in some way
