Definatley agree with you. ive got eurowagens trying to source some for me if not then im going to get the ones from vag link.
Also toying with the idea of a badgeless grill but with a gti badge and red strip so it doesnt look too plain

Haha nice! thats the way it should be :P
I just found the brackets in my garage but they are just L shape brackets that you can get from B&Q and places like that. Just glued to the plate then slide into the lower grill with two bolts through to secure in place. Mine will be getting a little bit spent on it this week, hopefully getting a boost gauge and oil temp gauge and cross hatch lower grills. also toying with the idea of a debadged front like i said. Might ask the girlfriend for one for valentines day haha.

Got the boost and oil temp gauges ordered along with a double pod to house them in so they should be here for weekend. Going to give eurowagens till the weekend to get back to me about the lower grills and if not just get them of vaglink. Also going to fit the cupra bushes if all goes to plan at the weekend. :D

I've just gone for some smoked gauges off eBay will post details when they arrive. They are nothing special, was going to get the newsouth ones from awsome bu can't justify spending £150 on gauges once vat and postage was added! They were just shy of £60 posted for the pair and iv got a double gauge pod which I'm going to modify to fit nicely under the centre console. Will post pics of the fitting process

Right well i got the gauges fitted over the weekend :D wired them in to the 12v socket for the lighting, plumbed the boost gauge in and trial mounted the pod. Only things left to do are wire in the oil temp gauge and fit the pod in properly. Will get some pics up tonight to show current state. Only problem is i keep planting the throttle to see the boost gauge shoot up haha  Any one else got a boost gauge in? What PSI do you get? Mine seems to peak at 11.5 and hold around 9.

Going to lamin-x my fog lights yellow as well I think to see what it looks like while the grills are off. Couldn’t get any decent pics of the gauges the other night but i will get some tonight providing i get home from work early enough!
