Re: Polo*'s Thread: 6n2 1.4 SE PD TDI. Hello!
Sunroof was an optional extra rather than a trim level feature. Have you got aircon?
Well, thats a bit of a grey area. Depends who you are insured with, how much your insurance currently costs, and whether you want to pay more for declaring it!
Window regulators are quite an easy fix. Get yourself a can of white grease, take the motor covering off down to the worm gear underneath and smother it in grease. Thats what we used to do when i was at VW, plus i did it on two broken windows two weekends ago and they now work like new. Another common failure is the guides crack or split on the cable holds and put pressure where they shouldnt.

Re: Polo*'s Thread: 6n2 1.4 SE PD TDI. Hello!
ebay mate £30 delivered new.
SUCCESS!! WINDOWS BOTH WORKING PERFECT!!
took me a few hours but this was the problem. and i found the remedy. + grease everything! whilst doorcards were off flushed my door pins too! good day!
note. this can be an easy fix if you are not going to grease the motors etc. just remove the rear (door handle guide) regulator guide bar from the door. can be done easily and you can fix the bracket with the washer + spring + screw and then reassemble.

GTI Spoiler is also here but needs prepping for spraying.
also i am changing my HID bulbs to H7R (Anti Glare Bulbs) 4300k. my eyes are really bad with the 6000k (too blue for me) i think this is from years of welding damage to my eyes... got some SMD led sidelight bulbs too.

Remap will be in a few weeks. next wk got the Aircon service and v ribbed belt being sorted.
will be fabricating some decent box axel stands today at work so i can do the starter motor some time. im a little worried as i bought a starter motor and now realise the polos have 9, 10 or 11 teeth versions. and am not sure what mine is but i got the 11 teeth new motor. so i dunno bout this.
just an update. as i dont have computer anymore. i wont be around much lol. until the new mac mini is refreshed.
regards James.

Have you had the steering wheel off at all?
Leave the battery off overnight and it will probably clear the error.

no not at all alex. is it the 6n2 that has the steering airbag ring common fault? (cost about £100 i think)
was wondering about the battery thing. if i leave it off. it wont affect the alarm immobilizer etc? as i plan to leave it off at work today. but want to get home after lol
cheers
