Upgrades

Post by DeepM1989 »

Time has come that my car got some TLC. I drive a 9n GT, the brakes are on the way out so was wondering what you guys recommend that I should get in place? Not too sure of the brake sizes, so some help would be good. Looking for something a little bigger and better.

Also wanted to change the exhaust back box, was looking at the 9n3 Gti, are they a straight fit? Also which other exhaust back boxes with a similar look will fit on simply?

Finally for now. Wanted to change the standard bulbs for xenon like ones. Dont have enough money for a HID kit yet and don't want a chavvy bluey look to the lights when on. Is it possible to get decent H7 bulbs, if so where from?

Thanks guys
Deep

I've got the Xenon bulbs in my 9n....(not HID kit), just a simple plug and play replacement bulb. Got the Halfords Extreme Brilliance H7 (Not super brilliance, extreme are better). About £30 a bulb if I remember correctly, HUGE difference! Much brighter + whiter light. Then to match my yellow looking sidelights to these white headlights I bought a pair of Osram Cool Blue sidelight (w5w 501s) bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com , very good value, and whilst they say blue and are actually blue in the packet, they emit a white light with no hint of blue at all. I agree, i don't like those chavvy looking blue lights.

Hope this helps!
