self - levelling xenons

Post by njbuchan »

Hi folks - Can you other GTi drivers help please? Basically I'm not sure if the levelling system is working properly on my car. A friend of mine has a car (not a polo) with xenons and when he switches them on the lights go down then up before finding their level. On my GTi they just come on ie no up / down movement? Any other user's comments welcome! Thanks in advance....

There not like your mates lights buddy. They don't self level and you can only adjust them manually....

I'm pretty positive they are lol.....

They have self levelling, but they dont run the self check sequence like more modern cars with xenons from factory, where the beam moves up and down on start up

Self levelling is on the rear axle on the Polo GTI
