Headlight cover removal
Although this may sound abit daft but i still cant seem to figure out how to get the back of the head light off on my polo gti, i only want to change the sidelights - how much is that to ask?!?!
can anyone guide me in the right direction before something ends up getting snapped lol....

It kan be a bit difficult I will give you that.
You can start by removing the rubber cover behind he xenon headlight and then the plug on the back of the D2S xenon bulb. it rotates about 45 degrees to one side and the it's loose... Piece of cake.
Then there is 3 philipshead screws.
1 just about centeret above the lid on the headlight. (I used a small rachet with a 4 inch extension and a bit on it to get in to it)
1 is below the big hole for the xenon bulb
and the last one is in the low corner in towards the engine. (This one also holds the bracket for the xenon control unit, so remember that when you put it on again)
Most of it is done by feel... So have fun and take your time

Well explained above!
These screws are very awkward to access so just be very careful when removing them.
I had to take the battery off to gain access to one of the screws on the passenger side and that was with a stubby screwdriver too
