Post by Godderz23 »

A few of you guys got the software for this?

Is it just the case of buying the correct lead of say ebay? Or is there more to it?

You can download a free sample version from here:

http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds-lite/download/index.html

Thats what most people use to view general fault codes etc,it will do the DIY'er fine. You just need to buy a lead from Ebay thats what i did.

I recentley upgraded to the full version ( chepest one) of VCDS at about 100$. Well worth the money and gives all the adjustment capabilities you'll need.

Its worth having the genuine article to be fair

I bought a HEX+CAN USB one (the most expensive :() as the Golf has to have full can compatibility, and its already saved me a fortune.
