That was only for Super Unleaded (98ron) in bloody Kensington though, down one of the most "exclusive" (ie "compulsive masturbator"-filled) streets. Full of rainbow Porsche 911s (a different coloured one for each day of the week) and trophy Mini Ones. The garage owner must be laughing his "man breasts" off at how much he's raking in with such a mark-up, and rich poncy low-mpg customers... and said customers could probably care less for such a drop-in-the-ocean cost with their 6-figure purchase price vehicles.
(normal 95ron stuff was 99p/L)
EDIT - the second two sets of quotes contain euphemisms for the original, bleeped words
PS What I love about your arm/leg/firstborn image - the unintentional irony of it. I originally saw it circulating around the web about a year ago. And it's american. Gas prices there had reached a "record high" of like $1.50 a gallon or somesuch... it's closer to $2.20 now
... and they're *still* nowhere near even the cheaper european countries. They should try Kensington! (about $6 - $7/USgal for the super)
I do love the "W4nker Lights" all the same! Girl came in the club with a burberry handbag... was all i could do to stop myself "accidentally" overspilling the blackcurrant on it while making her half cider & black...

I'll have to flyby the garage where I last had work done on the dub and see what they're currently running at. They always seem to be consistently 10p per litre higher than anywhere else, even though they're hardly in the middle of nowhere - there must be 10 other petrol stations in a 3 mile radius so it's only for them what run out next to it (or are walking from a conk-out, or ask for a tank fill with the major service).
That is "attendant service" though - ie the bloke comes out and pumps it for you (..you have no choice!)
Not sure if that's worth the extra, but it sure is unique.
(this would make them at least 91p per litre as petrolbusters is putting the best prices within 10 miles of me at 80.9p... probably more like 95p. wonder if he's broken out the extra "1" boards in readiness?)

haha yeah theres two petrol stations that do the same round here, u sit there whilst sum one comes out n fills it up for u, one place is called mollies (jonpolov will know where i mean)
the first time i went there i parked up next to the pump and proceeded to fill the beast up, wen this old lady stumbles out of the cabin and shouts "i'll do that for you love" i felt like saying "no, this is my car IM filling her up" anyway after a spirited struggle (in which she won
) i agreed to let her fill it up, and quite frankly its the worst pump i've ever seen, stopping n starting, fuel leaking everywhere and it kept clicking saying that it was full, wen quite clearly only 1.50 and gone in
bless her

Petrol where I usually fill up at tesco is up to 82p/litre now.. shock to the system because it's usually really cheap there, about 78p/litre..
I can see this becoming a pain in the backside really. When you finance a car from saturday shifts at a supermarket you can't really afford any kind of price hikes..
