Ha, ok well i thank you, my bank account does not. Got loads of new stuff to try out, can't wait to give mine a go.

Machine polisher this year at some point. May have to ask you for a few tips at a later date if thats cool.

Set of cup bumpers would look awesome they are a crazy price though

Probably not mate, one of the reasons I sold the 6N2 was because I cared so much about the smoothed bumpers (parking, stone chips etc..), not to say I won't take extreme care with this one, but just not to the level where I put a full frontal bra on the front if I'm driving more than 30 miles on the motorway!

Few updates.

I've kind of fell into sorting all of my interior plans out now. I've had some free time to do all the carbon fibre taping, and ripped out all the pillars ready for the black suede!

I haven't taken any decent pictures as I haven't had time. Will get some up when it's all done!

I'm spraying my tweeter grills black, and will pre-cut the holes for these in the suede cloth. Bit fiddly but I'll get it perfect. Here's them mid primer:


I still have my old handles from my previous car. They're exactly the same on the 6N2 and 9N3 so I thought I may aswell give these a go at spraying. Primer stages, along with the seatbelt inserts for the B pillars:


Other news.
Fitted my H7 and H1 HIDs, LED fogs and sidelights to follow shortly.
Bought some 6N2 black with red stripe seatbelts, to match the one I have with my GTi rear bench. They should arrive tomorrow and will hopefully fit!
The previous owner's private plate have been removed, so will send off for my UK pressed plates as soon as I get back the V5. And have ordered the following parts for the big service:

Oil
Oil filter
Brake Fluid
Fuel Filter
Gearbox Oil
Cambelt
Tensioner
Waterpump
Clutch

Have you considered Superchips BluFin?

Looks like you can get 30ish more bhp, and they promise your fuel consumption will go down!

Haven't looked at anything in detail yet, as I know I'll get sucked in! Sounds very interesting. After the summer is when I'll start have a ganders.

All the interior trim, was it easy to get off? does it just pull off or is it bolted on ? I would love toget stuff off, but too scared of breaking something.

Great idea, i would the interior of mine, headling etc to be like the golf from the same era the anthracite colour looks well swish.

Yeh the anthracite is cool, I actually prefer suede though. More plush! And reminds me of motorsport flocking too.

They all just pop out, just be careful. Start with the plastic beam across the back Of the C pillars, can't go wrong with that and you'll get a feel for the tabs that hold everything in.

The A pillars are simply pop, just pull from the top, but be careful of the tweeters, as they're connected to the pillar trim.

Do the C pillars next, you'll need to remove the plastic shelves that the parcel shelf sits on (they are bolted in), and also the rear belts. And to get to the rear belts you'll need to move the rear bench (just push the hinges back).

With all that removed, the rear cards will come of pretty easily, just watch where they meet the trim across the bottom of the door.

After the rear cards comes the front belts, which in turn comes the B pillars, which like everything else just pop out!

Just take your time and you'll be fine, took me half hour to get it all out.
