Fitted them. Still need to polish them up to get the fine wet dry to a finish. As was too difficult without them on the car and holding the drill etc. But look clear enough for now.

Put the hid kit in my fogs too. Probably not practical but hey ho lol.

Be careful drill polishing the xenons - huge amount of heat can be generated very fast and can frost them over!

Looks good though

thanks alex. i got a proper hilti low speed polishing tool (like a super sized dremel thingy) used for polishing stainless etc. so should be all good. cheers.

i do how ever need to get the leveling done as the home position is rather low. so i'll get that booked in once i have time. but loving them so far!
or can the free version of the vag-com do this?

VW dealer is the best place to get these levelled though as you havent got the levelling motors installed, and garage can do it that does headlight levelling.

they are 4300k H7R HID kits from ebay mate £30 delivered. had them in standard headlamps before.

cool. will get them leveled asap. its not that bad just want them done.

my depo crystal indicators came yesterday with the silver bulbs so they will be going on soon as. i broke the passenger clips that go into the headlight. and currently the indicator is cable tied in lol.

got my drivers window switch yesterday and also the Xenon/Standard headlight Indicator repair kit.

but... the window was working fine but only was working from passenger switch. now i have put the new drivers switch in the window wont work on either control side it just clicks up or down and does nothing.... any suggestions?

picking gti splitter up today. i was hoping it came primed. but the guy said it only comes in black plastic? is this right. £60 all in. thinking of getting the paint and taking advantage of out newly serviced spraying equipment over the cans this time.

if anyone can shed some more light on a procedure that i can follow for doing the starter motor on the TDI id appreciate that loads.
having problems with no one wanting to do the job as they are not supplying the part.....

plan to have the car up later so wll have a look for it and i believe its just simply 2 bolts and exchange?

lots to do and no time lol.

thanks all.

Whats wrong with starter motor?

They arent overly difficult to change. Removing the bolts is easy. The hardest part is getting up behind it to remove the battery cable as the space is somewhat limited

the pinion doesnt disengage after turn over. and makes a horrible loud noise.

i got a brand new s motor. i just not sure where it is on the engine. i'll have it up on the stands later and will have a looks. got 2 of us having a go so should be ok

everything else is up to date now.

aircon service, v belts, boot cv's done. airbag reset done (code was low voltage or something)

Starter Motor Fitted and works a Treat!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

the positive cable running to the old motor litterally fell away from the motor!! so popped to halfords and got a new positive lead and all good!
the s/m was located just to the left under the battery at the front of the engine bay.

so pleased! can now start my car with people around lol

cheers for the tips alex
