Take it you're David's brother (ask me how I guessed :D) 6Q0129607AR is the part no. for the air filter, not the box...

Having said that, if it's definitely off the PD100 (or 1.4 TDI) it will fit. The other part no. doesn't show up on ETKA. Measure the diameter of the hole for the MAF on yours and ask the seller to be a 100% sure.

The problem is the part number you've given (ending in AR) is for the air filter, not the housing itself. The same filter works in either all 1.4 / 1.9 TDIs, but the maf on the PD130 is bigger.

Just compare the maf mounting hole size and you should be fine. Having said that, the air box should be fine as he says it's off a 5 speed Polo ATD. You don't see many GTs about, let alone ones being broken.

I've just got home and checked. when I called my local dealers they gave me the part number 6Q0129607AR :?:

I'm confused

I'll wait to see what he says when he gets back to me.

EDIT: I'm wrong, you're right. They call the freaking air filter box the "air cleaner" and that confused me...how is air cleaner a logical name? :?

Look at all the "number 7s". The ones that list ATD/AXR will work. Stay away from BLT/ASZ (that's the VRS box you have).

Check my edited post above, I confused what they meant by "air cleaner" :)

The part number(s) you need are in the diagram above.

the search continues. bought the above one off ebay but it never arrived and received a refund... I'd rather have had the airbox :x

Do you know if this one would fit?

***Edit*** doesn't matter the seller just got back to me and confirmed it has a 80mm inlet so its no good.
