Shouldnt need any at all, just a good clean of dirt etc but if you feel compelled to use some, get some Blue Hylomar - halfords sell it

Thanks for your help alex the car is fine now back on the road turns out it was a dud thermo stat from andrew pages 
mr gsf car parts helped out tho again thanks or the advice im sure ill be asking for sime more soon lol
