VAGCOM VCDS

Post by dantheram »

Can someone help me out with either getting hold of the aforementioned or if you are near Derby and have VAGCOM or VCDS possibly hook up to my car?

Any help much appreciated,

After some research i have found the following stuff

Cable.

And Ross tech shareware.

If i buy the lead and run the software on my laptop will i have the ability to pull error codeson my GTI? :?:

Those leads are cheaper on ebay mate - just search VAGCOM 409.1 on there

You can pull a select amount of codes with the shareware version of VCDS lite but can change no settings

Not interested in the settings, just want to pull codes, worried about this limitation though. How severe is it?
