Headlight 'home' setting with VAGCOM

Post by dantheram »

I have an error code "01539 - Headlights Not Adjusted 35-00 - -"

Please bear in mind i have replaced the sensor arm and one of the headlights, which i suspect is entirely the reason for this code.

I am also aware of the procedure to align them, as described on the rosstech site http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/x ... nment.html

If i do as detailed on the rosstech site will this solve my error code?

Agreed, this is my thinking here to.

However, something bothers me slightly that you may be able to shed some light on, forgive the pun.

When i had my last 2 MOT's they have tried to manually adjust the offending xenon and have wound out the hex bolt fully but the light was still pointing down in the testing box thing they use for MOT.

Surely this should have lifted the beam temporarily before it reset to its unadjusted home, shouldn't it?

The adjuster in the headlight may be broken - its a common problem on the 6n2

Put the 55 - Xenon into learning mode, try setting the height and see how you get on
