Had my GTi since march now...time to MOD I think! :)

Post by david.smith »

It's been about 9 months I've had my Polo GTi now, and to be honest, I'm starting to get bored of it being standard! Time to mod I think!

First things, first - Powerflow System, Tints will do me!

I'll keep ya updated! :)

Hi David

I can recommend a B&M Short Shift Kit... Reduces the gearstick throw by 40%!!! (And the gearstick remains the same length!)

Really makes the car feel a lot more sporty!

Lowering is a good idea too (I'll be getting mine done next year!)

I'm also thinking about a medium tint.

Let me know what you get done!

how much does this mod cost?

Anyway, get your Polo lowered...I recommend you get some ajustable coilover, 'cause only -40 springs won't make a big difference, and the handling won't be as good as you expect it.

Well ordered my short shift kit!

Slammin' will come next I think, by the looks of things though I think the standard GTi wheels will look horse when the car is slammed...to skinny! Need to beef it up a bit with a set of PHAT Split rims!

Anyone know how wide you can go with wheels?? :)

Think I'll just get a light tint too, not wanting to look like one of the 'Nova Boys' now do we? We're much classier than them...VeeDub Remember! :)

ive got a light tint on my black gti and it looks pukka.
width depends on how low u want it. I had 9x16s on for a while but didnt like. If u really want it low and dont want to fiddle with arches go for 7x15s with a 35-38 offset.
